Ecosse Energy Announces Board Changes

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - July 9, 2012) - Ecosse Energy Corp. (CNSX:ECS) (the "Company"), a company focused on oil and gas exploration and production in Indonesia, announces that Paul Griggs has joined the Board of Directors of the Company as a non-executive director in preparation for the Company's proposed AIM listing this year.

Mr. Griggs has over 30 years experience in the oil and gas and investment banking industries where he has an impressive track record in business development and implementing international growth strategies for the Oil & Gas companies he has worked with. His past positions include: Head of Global Business Development for OMV's Exploration and Production arm, Vice President Strategic Planning for BHP Petroleum in London, Director of Investment Banking for NatWest Market's oil team and Commercial Director of AIM listed Sterling Energy plc.

Paul currently provides independent commercial advice to oil exploration companies including being Adviser to the Board of Cove Energy PLC where he has played a key role in Cove's initial entry to East Africa and subsequent major success.

In parallel, and as a part of a process of reconfiguring the Board ahead of a proposed AIM listing, Nigel Fletcher has resigned as a director. Nigel will remain actively involved with the Company as a director of its wholly-owned subsidiaries, Ecosse Energy (Bengkulu) Pty and Ecosse Energy (Manokwari) Ltd, in Indonesia.
