Synovus Announces $250 Million Senior Notes Offering

COLUMBUS, Ga.--([ ])--Synovus Financial Corp. (NYSE: SNV) today announced an underwritten public offering of $250 million aggregate principal of senior notes due 2019. Synovus intends to use a portion of the net proceeds from the senior notes offering to purchase up to approximately $206.8 million in aggregate principal amount of its outstanding 4.875% Subordinated Notes due February 15, 2013. Synovus intends to use any remaining balance for general corporate purposes.

J.P. Morgan Securities LLC will serve as sole book-running manager of the senior notes offering.
