MFS Announces Portfolio Management Appointments for MFS InterMarket Income Trust I

BOSTON--([ ])--MFS Investment Management (MFS) announced today that Matthew W. Ryan and Ward Brown have been added to the portfolio management team of MFS InterMarket Income Trust I ("the Fund") (NYSE: CMK), effective immediately.

Ryan and Brown will manage the emerging market debt exposure of the Fund. Both will continue with their other portfolio management responsibilities at MFS as well, managing emerging market debt portfolios across MFS' retail and institutional product lines.

There is no change to the Fund's investment strategy as a result of their appointment.

Current fixed income portfolio managers for the Fund, James J. Calmas, William J. Adams, and David P. Cole continue to manage the Fund as well.
