Kathy Fitzgerald Elected VP-Communications for PSEG
NEWARK, N.J., Jan. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- PSEG announced today the election of Kathleen Fitzgerald as vice president - corporate communications, effective January 3, 2012. She reports to Randy Mehrberg, executive vice president for strategy and development, PSEG. In addition to overseeing all internal and external communications for PSEG and its major businesses, PSE&G and PSEG Power, Fitzgerald will have an active role in PSEG corporate responsibility and the PSEG Foundation.

"Kathy has a broad set of public relations skills and extensive experience working in New Jersey, in large corporations and in communications in a regulated environment. She is uniquely suited to lead our communications team as we position PSEG in New Jersey and the nation," said Mehrberg.
Fitzgerald spent the first part of her career at AT&T working in a variety of public relations positions, including media relations, employee communications, advertising and speechwriting. She then served as public relations vice president for several multi-billion-dollar business units at AT&T.
When AT&T divided into three companies in 1996, she became senior vice president - public relations, advertising and investor relations at Lucent Technologies. As a member of the initial leadership team, she coordinated the development and launch of the Lucent brand and initial messaging to all of its key stakeholders.
In 2006, Fitzgerald became global communications leader for KPMG, a big four accounting firm where she was responsible for internal and external communications.
Fitzgerald is an adjunct professor at NYU'S graduate program in corporate communications. Kathy is also an active alumnus of St. Peter's College and has served on its Board of Regents and Trustees.
