BETHESDA, Md., Jan. 6, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Walker & Dunlop, Inc. (NYSE: [ WD ]) (the "Company") announced today that it hired Keith L. Melton as vice president, FHA Finance in its newly opened Nashville, Tennessee office. Mr. Melton will run Walker & Dunlop's Nashville office along with David Strange who joined the company in December. Mr. Melton will focus on multifamily and healthcare loan originations utilizing FHA financing.

Michelle Warner, Walker & Dunlop's head of FHA Finance noted, "Keith Melton is a wonderful addition to our team. Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Mr. Melton was a FHA originator with Deutsche Bank Berkshire Mortgage, Inc. Mr. Melton originated loans under all FHA programs during his seven year tenure with the firm. Prior to Deutsche Bank, Mr. Melton was a commercial lender for Fifth Third Bank and First American National Bank. Mr. Melton is a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the Free Will Baptist College.
