NORFOLK, NE--(Marketwire - Jan 5, 2012) - Supertel Hospitality, Inc. (NASDAQ: [ SPPR ]), a real estate investment trust (REIT) which owns 100 hotels in 23 states, today announced that it has closed on the sale of its 88-room Masters Inn in Doraville, Georgia on December 20, 2011, for $1.02 million. The hotel was purchased in May 2007 and was no longer classified as a core asset. Supertel used the proceeds from the sale to reduce related mortgage debt.
