Attendees will also gain insights from a panel of prime contractors including ABB Inc., Copper Power Supply Systems, GE Energy, Henkels and McCoy, and J. Fletcher Creamer& Son, Inc. on how to strategically position themselves to increase procurement opportunities as subcontractors.
"The BPU has been a leader on the issue of diversifying access to business opportunities within the utility arena to businesses owned by minorities, women and disabled veterans. These businesses offer unique skills and perspectives-- and so this conference is a great opportunity to bring MWBEs and the utilities together," said Lee Solomon, President of the NJ Board of Public Utilities.
