Employees receive reimbursement for allowable expenses up to $10,000 per adopted child and up to 26 weeks of parental leave. There is no limit on the number of adoptions that can be covered in a year. In addition, Prudential provides counseling services and referral programs to help employees through the adoption process. For employees who would like to be foster parents, the company also provides $1,000 per calendar year for new, foster care placements.
Rankings for the "Best Adoption Friendly Workplaces List" are determined by an analysis of adoption benefits available to employees who adopt, such as financial reimbursement and paid leave. The Foundation compiles the results from survey data collected from nearly 500 U.S. employers.
