Wells Fargo to Help Las Vegas Area Mortgage Customers Facing Payment Challenges

LAS VEGAS--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE:WFC) announced today it is hosting a Home Preservation Workshop for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, Wells Fargo Financial, Wachovia Mortgage and Wells Fargo Home Equity customers facing financial hardships.The two-day workshop a" to which Wells Fargo has invited Las Vegas and surrounding area homeowners who have been hard hit by the challenging economy a" will take place May 25 and 26, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Tropicana Conference Center located at 3801 Las Vegas Boulevard South in Las Vegas.

Nearly 100 homeretention team members will be available to work one-on-one with mortgage customers facing payment challenges. Bilingual representatives will be available to assist borrowers during the event. In many cases, borrowers may receive a decision on a loan modification or other option, on site or shortly following the workshop. Options include the federal governmenta™s Home Affordable ModificationProgram (HAMP) and Wells Fargoa™s own loan modification program.

This is the 27th Home Preservation Workshop Wells Fargo has conducted throughout the country since it first starting hosting them in 2009. Over 20,000 customers have been assisted at these events. Wells Fargo hosted a similar event in Las Vegas and met with nearly 800 Nevada customers in 2010. Thirty Home Preservation Workshops have been planned in hard-hit communities across the country in 2011.
