Wells FargoSecurities Hires John Jinishian as Head of West Coast Technology M&A

SAN FRANCISCO--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Wells FargoSecurities, part ofWells Fargo& Company (NYSE:WFC), today announced that John Jinishian has joined the firm as managing director and head of West Coast Technology Mergers & Acquisitions. Based in San Francisco, Jinishian is responsible for all West Coast technology M&A activity. He reports to John Laughlin, head of Mergers & Acquisitions, and will work closely with Gerry Walters, hired in 2010 as head of West Coast Technology Investment Banking. Jinishiana™s hire is another step in the ongoing expansion of Wells Fargo Securitiesa™ investment banking business and will strengthen the banka™s longstanding leadership in serving customers in the technology sector.

Jinishian brings over 20 years of Investment Banking experience to his new position, with over 10 years based on the West Coast and focused exclusively on the technology sector. Prior to joining Wells Fargo Securities, he was co-head of Technology Investment Banking at Cantor Fitzgerald. From 1994 to 2008, he was at Citigroup (and its predecessor firm Salomon Brothers), where he was global head of Technology M&A. He began his investment banking career at Prudential-Bache Securities in New York City. He has an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of Business and a B.S. in Business from the University of California, Berkeley.
