American Campus Communities Announces Promotions

AUSTIN, Texas--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--American Campus Communities, Inc. (NYSE:ACC), one of the nationa™s largest owners, managers and developers of high-quality student housing properties, announced today that William Talbot and Daniel Perry have each been promoted to the positions of executive vice president, emphasizing the companya™s focus on delivering on its diversified investment platform.

As the executive vice president of investments, Talbot will continue to oversee acquisitions, off-campus development and M&A activity, as well as asset management and dispositions. Talbot joined American Campus in August 2001 as director of acquisitions and has since served in increasing capacities, including director of asset management and vice president and senior vice president of investments. Prior to joining the company, Talbot was an acquisitions analyst for Lend Lease Real Estate Investments, Inc. from 1997 until 2001, where he was involved in acquisitions on behalf of pension fund clients.

As the executive vice president of capital markets, Perry is responsible for development and implementation of capital market strategies, managing bank group relationships, sourcing capital for growth activities, and working with equity investors and research analysts. He joined ACC in February 2005 as vice president of investments and was promoted in 2007 to senior vice president of capital markets. Prior to joining ACC, Perry held positions in the investment banking division of Citigroup Global Markets where he assisted with the successful completion of American Campusa™ initial public offering in 2004. He also worked in the corporate finance divisions of BNP Paribas and Banc of America (fka NationsBank).
