The proposal now moves to the city council, which meets next Tuesday.

The Green Bay Finance Committee has approved $125,000 to repair the slides at Joannes Aquatic Center, which have been closed since 2023 due to safety concerns. The funds will be used to replace the slide tower's support structure, ensuring the slides can reopen safely. The repairs are expected to be completed by the summer of 2025, allowing the community to once again enjoy this popular feature of the aquatic center.
