Is Long Term Deflation Impending?

NEW YORK--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Wall Street Media presentsan exclusive video of Rich Gordon, the highly regarded Fixed Income Market Strategist of Wells Fargo Securities (NYSE: WFC), on the implications of recent technical charts for investors. Gordon points out the steepening of the 10s a" 30s spread on the Treasury Curve, and maintains that this is indicative of the fact that some investors remain unconvinced that long-term, consistent deflation in the U.S. is a possibility. In early October, this spread steepened by more than 25 basis points. Gordon notes that there is little data suggestive of an impending, long-term deflationary spiral for the U.S. Furthermore, the dollar has lost over 7 percent since the Fed announced its willingness to renew asset purchases.
