












UDR Awarded Prestigious LEED Certification for Savoye Community in Addison, Texas

LEED is the nationa™s preeminent program for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings.

Savoye, which consists of 392 apartment homes as well as 16,000 square feet of retail space at the street level, achieved LEED certification for energy use, lighting, water and material use as well as incorporating a variety of other sustainable strategies. The community has been designed to reduce energy and water demand by up to 30 percent, helping residents save money on their monthly utility bills. Savoye is the second UDR apartment community in the past two months to be designated LEED certified by the USGBC. The companya™s [ Belmont ] community located at 2500 Bennett Avenue in Dallas, Texas received LEED Silver certification in August becoming the first apartment community in the city to achieve this designation. Both properties represent UDRa™s ongoing commitment to [ green building and sustainability ].
