MF Global Discloses Employment Inducement Awards to Bradley Abelow

NEW YORK--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--As required by the New York Stock Exchange rules, MF Global Holdings Ltd. (NYSE: MF), a leading broker offering customized solutions in global cash and derivatives markets, today disclosed it is implementing Chief Operating Officer Bradley Abelowa™s previously announced compensation agreement. MF Global disclosed the agreement on September 13, 2010, in a Form 8-K filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Under the previously disclosed agreement, as an inducement to his employment with MF Global, Mr. Abelow has been granted a stock option to purchase 1.75 million shares of common stock at an exercise price per share to be determined based on the closing price on the New York Stock Exchange of a share of MF Global common stock on September 13, 2010. One third of the options will vest on each anniversary of the grant date, with all the options becoming fully vested on the third anniversary of the grant date. Once vested, the option will remain exercisable for the full seven-year term.
