Active Power Receives Order from Global Consumer Goods Manufacturing Firm

AUSTIN, Texas--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Critical backup power systems and continuous power solutions manufacturer Active Power, Inc. (NASDAQ: ACPW), today announced a PowerHouse solution order from a large United Kingdom based consumer goods manufacturing company. The 40-foot containerized system will ship in the third quarter of 2010 with installation at one of the customera™s mission critical datacenter facilities located in the United Kingdom. PowerHouse will provide complete power conditioning and protection to the entire datacenter operation.

PowerHouse contains all of the critical power infrastructure components in one streamlined enclosure.
