NEW YORK--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Bernstein Liebhard LLP is investigating whether the Board of Directors of AmeriCredit Corp. (aAmeriCredita or the aCompanya) (NYSE: ACF) breached its fiduciary duty to its shareholders in agreeing to sell AmeriCredit to General Motors Co. (aGMa).

Under the terms of the agreement, AmeriCredit shareholders will receive $24.50 in cash for each share they own, placing the total value of the transaction at approximately $3.5 billion. The investigation is focused on the potential unfairness of the price to AmeriCredit shareholders and the process by which the AmeriCredit Board of Directors considered and approved the transaction.
