Mike The Pike Productions Delivers MMA Event in Profitable First Year
FORT WAYNE, IN--(Marketwire - June 9, 2010) - (
MTP CEO/President Mark B. Newbauer comments, "The entire night was an overall testament to our team's abilities and skill set. We gained a new appreciation for top tier MMA events in which we're dealing with literally dozens of people on the staff and entertainment side of things. It was definitely new territory well managed, with 20 or so fighters in house, their managers, entourages and esteemed members of our event's guests of honor; Not For Sale Campaign ([ www.NotForSaleCampaign.org ]) and trafficking survivor, Marti MacGibbon. Mark Cuban's HDNET was in-house and will most likely feature excerpts of the event on their channel, which produces more original HD sports, music, news, and entertainment than any other domestic network."
Fort Wayne native and UFC superstar Jon Fitch called the event, "The best MMA event I've ever seen in Indiana." Fitch was among the celebrity attendees and a major draw for the event and "was altogether accommodating, gracious and great to work with," according to Newbauer. "One of the best parts about the event is that we achieved exactly what we set out to do, and that's raise awareness for the plight of Human Trafficking."
Indiana Executive Director for Not For Sale Campaign ([ www.NotForSaleCampaign.org ]), Sarah Joy Morbitzer was a big part of the evening's success and states in an email to Mike the Pike: "The whole NFS team had a wonderful time at the fights and is grateful to you for putting together such a great event. We could tell that a lot of time, effort, and hard work had gone into the event -- even right up to the last minute! -- and we were so impressed by everything you did. I hope you know how much I appreciated the opportunity to come and share about the plight of the enslaved. It was a wonderful evening and I really enjoyed being a part of it!"
Excerpts from the show as well as pay-per-view/DVD opportunities will be available at [ www.FightNightMMA.com ] soon and will include links to NFS and news about future events. Mike the Pike Productions is thrilled to have added Fight Night MMA to its rich entertainment portfolio which includes the this summer's production of feature film, 'Horse' starring Fred Williamson, George R.R. Martin's 'The Skin Trade,' co-production on [ www.dresdensun.com ] and a few attractive asset acquisitions, one of which is very much related to the financial markets and will pique the attention of investors; "all kinds, everywhere," remarks Newbauer.
"All in all, Mike the Pike Productions' first year of development has been quite the adventure as we worked diligently to position MTP towards a second year of growth and implementation of more substantial projects such as 'Horse' and George R.R. Martin's 'The Skin Trade,'" summarizes Newbauer. "Relative to startup statistics, our creative yet conservative business strategy in an otherwise speculative industry has put us in a category above many others in what our quarterly financials, to be put out later this month, will show to be a great first year with assets outweighing our liabilities. This is in line with our plans for long term growth along bursts of achievement with our projects for the coming weeks, months and years."
Producers Ryan Colucci, Beth Newbauer and Mark B. Newbauer present: George R.R. Martin's THE SKIN TRADE:From the best-selling author of the Song of Ice and Fire series comes this white knuckle chiller with a string of unsolved murders immersed deep in lycan lore : When a series of grotesque killings strikes her small hometown, private detective Randi Wade becomes suspicious. The grisly murders remind her all too much of her own father's death nearly 20 years ago. Now there is a killer in town who not only slays his victims, but also takes their skin. Undaunted, Randi takes the case head-on as the murders continue, each more brutal than the last. When a close friend suddenly becomes a target, he is forced to reveal a startling secret about himself and Randi is quickly pulled into a dark world within her own town where monsters do exist and even they have something to fear...
MTP Studios & Horseplay, LLC present: HORSE - a wild ride through the streets of Ft. Wayne on a night no one will forget... if they live to remember... as they take part against some not-so-friendly parties on the prowl for a missing bag of heroin. It's a race against time for a club-owner, a drug mule, two college kids and a sadistic Irish kingpin in from Chicago to reclaim his stake.
