Prudential Financial advertising campaign highlights strength and leadership

NEWARK, N.J.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Prudential Financial (NYSE: PRU) is launching a [ new advertising campaign ] that highlights the companya™s strength and leadership in todaya™s challenging financial marketplace.

The centerpiece of the campaign will be two new television commercials, called aEvolutiona and aHeadlines.a The first emphasizes [ Prudentiala™s leadership and innovation ] over our 135-year history, and commitment to always be there for customers. The second focuses on how Prudential helped protect clients during the financial crisis and emerged an even stronger company.

aThe campaign aims to emphasize Prudentiala™s leadership and standout performance amid the aflight to qualitya™ that has followed the financial crisis,a said Colin McConnell, head of Prudential Advertising.

The spots will start running on Sunday, June 13. They will appear on early morning shows, network news, prime-time syndicated shows, sports and targeted cable news and business channels. A Spanish-language ad will start running later in the summer.

The campaign also includes billboard ads, which began appearing in 15 major markets across the country yesterday, among them Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco. The ads highlight aspects of Prudentiala™s leadership and the confidence our clients place in the company.

In addition, the company has secured home-plate signage during television broadcasts for eight Major League Baseball teams: the Chicago White Sox, Florida Marlins, Oakland Aa™s, Philadelphia Phillies, San Diego Padres, St. Louis Cardinals, Tampa Bay Rays and Texas Rangers. Prudentiala™s signage will get a half inning of TV exposure per home and away game. Prudential will also have digital advertising on Major League Baseballa™s website, [ www.mlb.com ], for all 30 teams through the end of August and a co-branded presence with MLB on iPad applications and on mobile devices.
