Northland Appoints Senior Operational Staff for Sweden and Finland

LUXEMBOURG, LUXEMBOURG--(Marketwire - June 14, 2010) - Northland Resources S.A. ("Northland" or "the Company") (TSX:NAU)(OSLO:NAUR)(FRANKFURT:NBS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Bert-Ove Johansson to the position of Vice President – Swedish Operations and Mr. Pekka Veisto to the position of Manager, Finland.

In 2008, Mr. Johansson served as Regional Director of Operations for Northland's Swedish subsidiary, Northland Resources AB. During that time he was involved in the economic studies on Northland's projects that have evolved in part into the Kaunisvaara Iron Project Feasibility Study. Mr. Johansson will now assume the position of Vice President - Swedish Operations, as well as Managing Director for Northland Resources AB, and will be responsible for launching the mining operations going forward.

Mr. Johansson has held a series of progressively more senior management roles within the international mining industry, gaining operational experience in Sweden, Ireland, Ethiopia and Saudi Arabia. Before joining Northland, he identified acquisition targets as part of his Business Development position in Boliden Mineral AB. Prior to that, he was Managing Director of Boliden Tara Mines Ltd. in Ireland, Europe's largest zinc mine, where he was tasked with modernizing the organization at the mine. His experience also includes technical, managerial and operational positions at Boliden's Aitik Mine and LKAB's Kiruna and Malmberget operations. Mr. Johansson holds a M.Sc., Mining from the Luleå University of Technology in Sweden.

Mr. Pekka Veisto joins Northland as Manager, Finland and Managing Director for Northland Mines OY. He has a broad industrial background, having worked in the steel industry as well as with mining construction operations for many years. Mr. Veisto will be instrumental in managing and developing Northland's Finnish projects.

Prior to joining Northland, Mr. Veisto held the position of Director, Construction Division, Mining and International Operations for Destia OY, and before that he served for eight years as the Construction Manager for Rautarukki OY in Raahe. Mr. Veisto holds an M.Sc., Civil Engineering from the Technical University of Espoo in Finland
