Invesco Announces New Names and Change in Advisory Agreement for Current Van Kampen Closed-End Funds

HOUSTON--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Invesco Ltd. (Invesco) (NYSE:IVZ) today completed its purchase of Morgan Stanleya�s retail asset management business, including Van Kampen Investments (the Transaction).

In contemplation of the Transaction, shareholders of each Van Kampen closed-end fund approved a new investment advisory agreement with Invesco Advisers, Inc., a subsidiary of Invesco, and a new master investment sub-advisory agreement with several of Invesco's wholly-owned affiliates.

Effective June 1, 2010, each Fund's investment adviser, investment sub-advisers (except where noted below) andcertain other service providers are affiliates of Invesco. The Transaction does not result in any change to any Fund's investment objectives, principal investment strategies, or portfolio management team (except where noted below).

In addition, effective June 1, 2010, each Fund has changed its name as follows. Each Funda�s ticker symbol remains unchanged.

As noted above, a new investment advisory agreement with Invesco Advisers, Inc. (the Adviser) (which includes an investment sub-advisory agreement between Invesco Advisers, Inc. and each of Invesco Asset Management Deutschland GmbH, Invesco Asset Management Limited, Invesco Asset Management (Japan) Limited, Invesco Australia Limited, Invesco Hong Kong Limited, Invesco Senior Secured Management, Inc. and Invesco Trimark Ltd.) has been approved by shareholders of each Fund and is effective June 1, 2010.

Shareholders of Van Kampen Dynamic Credit Opportunities Fund also approved a new subadvisory agreement between the Adviser and Avenue Europe International Management, L.P. (Avenue Europe), which is also effective June 1, 2010, such that Avenue Europe can continue to provide investment subadvisory services to such Fund. Effective June 1, 2010, the Funds receive administrative services from the Adviser pursuant to administration agreements for such Funds and the Funds (except Invesco Van Kampen Senior Income Trust and Invesco Van Kampen Select Sector Fund) receive support services from Invesco Investment Services, Inc. pursuant to support services agreements for such Funds.

Effective June 1, 2010, the following individuals have been named as portfolio managers for Invesco Van Kampen Bond Fund (VBF):

John Craddock, Senior Portfolio Manager has been with Invesco Advisers, Inc., and/or its affiliates since 1999.
Cynthia Brien, Portfolio Manager has been with Invesco Advisers, Inc., and/or its affiliates since 1996.
Chuck Burge, Senior Portfolio Manager, has been with Invesco Advisers, Inc., and/or its affiliates since 2002.

Separately, effective June 1, 2010, Andrew Findling is primarily responsible for the day-to-day management of Invesco Van Kampen High Income Trust II (VLT). Mr.Findling has been managing the Fund since 2008.
