Invesco Announces New Names and Change in Advisory Agreement for Certain Morgan Stanley Closed-End Funds

HOUSTON--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Invesco Ltd. (Invesco) (NYSE: IVZ) today completed its purchase of Morgan Stanleya™s retail asset management business, including Van Kampen Investments (the Transaction).

In contemplation of the Transaction, shareholders of each Morgan Stanley closed-end fund listed below, with the exception of Invesco High Yield Investments Fund, Inc., approved a new investment advisory agreement with Invesco Advisers, Inc., a subsidiary of Invesco, and a new master investment sub-advisory agreement with several of Invesco's wholly-owned affiliates.

Effective June 1, 2010, each Fund's investment adviser, investment sub-advisers (except where noted below) andcertain other service providers are affiliates of Invesco. The Transaction does not result in any change to any Fund's investment objectives, principal investment strategies, or portfolio management team (except where noted below).

In addition, effective June 1, 2010, each Fund has changed its name as follows. Each Funda™s ticker symbol remains unchanged.

As noted above, a new investment advisory agreement with Invesco Advisers, Inc. (which includes an investment sub-advisory agreement between Invesco Advisers, Inc. and each of Invesco Asset Management Deutschland GmbH, Invesco Asset Management Limited, Invesco Asset Management (Japan) Limited, Invesco Australia Limited, Invesco Hong Kong Limited, Invesco Senior Secured Management, Inc. and Invesco Trimark Ltd.) has been approved for each Fund except for Invesco High Yield Investments Fund, Inc.

At a meeting held on May 21, 2010, the Board approved the appointment of Invesco Advisers, Inc. and its affiliates to serve as interim investment adviser and sub-advisers to Invesco High Yield Investments Fund, Inc. pursuant to an interim advisory agreement between the Fund and Invesco Advisers, Inc. and an interim sub-advisory agreement between Invesco Adviser, Inc. and Invesco Advisers, Inc. and each of Invesco Asset Management Deutschland GmbH, Invesco Asset Management Limited, Invesco Asset Management (Japan) Limited, Invesco Australia Limited, Invesco Hong Kong Limited, Invesco Senior Secured Management, Inc. and Invesco Trimark Ltd. (the aInterim Agreementsa). Pursuant to the terms of the Interim Agreements, Invesco Advisers, Inc. and its affiliates will manage the Funda™s investments on a day-to-day basis and will be responsible for the overall management of the Fund. Invesco Advisers, Inc. will employ substantially the same investment strategies in managing the Funda™s assets. The Interim Agreements became effective June 1, 2010.

Effective June 1, 2010, Thomas Byron, Robert J. Stryker and Robert W. Wimmel are jointly and primarily responsible for the day-to-day management of the following Funds:

• Prior to June 2010, Mr. Byron was associated with Morgan Stanley Investment Advisors Inc. or its investment advisory affiliates in an investment management capacity since 1981.
• Prior to June 2010, Mr. Stryker was associated with Morgan Stanley Investment Advisors Inc. or its investment advisory affiliates in an investment management capacity since 1994.
• Prior to June 2010, Mr. Wimmel was associated with Morgan Stanley Investment Advisors Inc. or its investment advisory affiliates in an investment management capacity since 1996.

Effective June 1, 2010, Mark Paris, Robert J. Stryker and Julius Williams are jointly and primarily responsible for the day-to-day management of Invesco New York Quality Municipal Securities (IQN).

• Mr.Paris has been managing the Fund since 2009. Prior to June 2010, Mr. Paris was associated with Morgan Stanley Investment Advisors Inc. or its investment advisory affiliates in an investment management capacity since 2002.
• Mr.Stryker has been managing the Fund since 2009. Prior to June 2010, Mr. Stryker was associated with Morgan Stanley Investment Advisors Inc. or its investment advisory affiliates in an investment management capacity since 1994.
• Mr.Williams has been has been managing the Fund since 2009. Prior to June 2010, Mr. Williams was associated with Morgan Stanley Investment Advisors Inc. or its investment advisory affiliates in an investment management capacity since 2000.

Effective June 1, 2010, Andrew Findling is primarily responsible for the day-to-day management of Invesco High Yield Investments Fund, Inc. (MSY). Mr.Findling has been managing the Fund since 2008.

Separately, the Board has determined that the annual shareholder meeting for the Funds be set on July 16, 2010, at the offices of Invesco Advisers, Inc. located at 11 Greenway Plaza, Suite 2500, Houston, Texas 77046-1173 (or such other reasonable place). The record date for the determination of the shareholders entitled to notice of, and to vote at, the Meeting is the close of business on June 7, 2010.
