

New Guinea Gold Corporation: Barrick Gold Commences Drilling on Coppermoly Projects
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - May 18, 2010) - New Guinea Gold Corporation's (NGG)(TSX VENTURE:NGG)(FRANKFURT:NG8) associate company, Coppermoly Limited, announced on May 11, 2010, that Barrick (PNG Exploration) Ltd had commenced diamond core drilling at Coppermoly's Nakru 1 Prospect.
The first drill hole will test for copper mineralisation related to a part of the geophysical anomaly that was previously identified by Coppermoly. Previous drilling has identified a direct relationship between the south-western portion of the anomaly and copper mineralisation.
