BENSALEM, Pa.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Law Offices of Howard G. Smith announces that a securities class action lawsuit has been filed on behalf of all persons or entities who purchased or otherwise acquired the publicly traded securities of Sterling Financial Corporation ("Sterling Financial" or the "Company") (Nasdaq:STSA) between July 23, 2008 and January 13, 2009, inclusive (the "Class Period"), including shares acquired through Sterling's 401(k) Employee Savings and Investment Plan and Trust. The class action lawsuit was filed in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Washington.
