











DSM announces management appointments

Mr. Gerard de Reuver (1956), currently Director of Strategic Projects, will be appointed business group director DSM Dyneema as of 1 April 2010. Mr. de Reuver?s current responsibilities, which include managing a dedicated taskforce to deal with the changed economic environment as well as a culture change program, have now been transferred to the business groups, with a coordinating role for Corporate Finance and Corporate Human Resources, respectively. Mr. de Reuver, will report to Mr. Nico Gerardu, member of the DSM Managing Board.
Mr. Christophe Dardel (1960) at present business group director of DSM Dyneema, will be appointed President of DSM Biomedical as of 15 May 2010. Mr. Dardel has developed DSM Dyneema to its current level and will now have the responsibility of growing the DSM Biomedical business. In his new role he will report to Mr. Rob van Leen, DSM Chief Innovation Officer.
Mr. Steve Hartig (1958) currently President of DSM Biomedical, will support Mr. Dardel through the transition and will then be promoted to his next leadership role with DSM. Mr. Hartig has taken DSM Biomedical from concept to a growing business reality. An announcement regarding his new role will be made on a later date.
