Axis Technologies Group, Inc.: RLE Industries Expanding Business Relationship With Axis Technologies for Dimming Ballast and Ne
LINCOLN, NE--(Marketwire - June 17, 2009) - Axis Technologies Group, Inc. (
RLE VP of Sales and Marketing David Wallach said, "We have been including Axis ballasts in some of our proposals over the past couple of years, but there has never been a time before when we have felt that the market was ripe for accepting and budgeting for energy efficient technologies than right now. Specifically, we have targeted Axis Technologies to provide us with a feasible solution for auto dimming to harvest natural sunlight. Axis also provides the flexibility to 'tune' light output and further maximize energy savings for our clients. RLE is very excited about the market potential of Axis' Demand Response ballast. The new Axis Demand Response solution has tremendous opportunity at a time when intraday price spikes are now a reality. The need to quickly shed lighting load remotely in a facility can now be achieved simply and economically."
Mr. Wallach noted, "There has been a groundswell shift in the market's interest and willingness to install energy efficient lighting solutions. We are awaiting potential contract awards that include over 4,000 Axis ballasts with more contract proposals being issued. With a major increase in the Request for Proposals (RFP) for energy efficiency projects underway, we anticipate installing a company record number of daylight harvesting ballasts from Axis in 2009."
Mr. Wallach continued, "LEED-certification is increasingly a desirable goal for developers differentiating their real estate offering to environmentally conscious tenants and owners. Older buildings with antiquated fluorescent lighting ballasts are coming to us for retrofit solutions to the problem of reducing their lighting bills. Tax credits for the corporate sector and Federal funding to the states and Federal agencies with the mandate to update their buildings all point to a very robust opportunity for both our companies. Because of these trends, we further anticipate installing a company record number of daylight harvesting ballasts from Axis in 2010."
Jim Erickson, President of Axis Technologies, said, "We look forward to building a close and mutually productive relationship with RLE Industries. With their market position and technical expertise and our innovative addressable demand response ballast, RLE and Axis can offer to both corporate and government clients a low cost solution to the vexing problem of managing energy demands in fluorescent lighting."

About Axis Technologies Group, Inc.
Axis Technologies Group, Inc. ([ www.axistechnologyinc.com ]), through its wholly owned subsidiary, Axis Technologies, Inc., a Delaware corporation headquartered in Lincoln, Nebraska designs, manufactures and markets a proprietary line of energy-saving and daylight harvesting electronic dimming ballasts for the commercial lighting industry. The company's target market is small to large commercial users of fluorescent lighting including office buildings, wholesale and retail buildings, hospitals, schools, and government buildings. The patented Axis Dimming/Daylight Harvesting Ballast is a new technology that transforms the standard ballast into a dynamic energy saving system that can reduce lighting energy costs by up to 70%. The Axis Ballast utilizes an individual photo sensor to automatically adjust the amount of electrical current flowing to the light fixture and then dims or increases lighting in conjunction with the amount of available sunlight. The Axis Ballast avoids "over-lit" conditions that increase energy costs by harvesting and utilizing free daylight from windows or skylights. As the amount of available daylight fluctuates, the Axis Ballast automatically keeps lighting "tuned" to the desired level in a designated area. Underwriters Laboratory (UL) has approved Axis products for sale in both the United States and Canada. The Axis Dimming/Daylight Harvesting (DDH) ballast is priced competitively and is the only daylight harvesting ballast system that can be marketed as a replacement for a standard ballast. Numerous utilities have included the Axis ballast in their rebate programs offered to their commercial and government customers.
