LONDON, ON, June 21 /CNW/ - The law firm of Siskinds LLP today announced that, in March 2009, it commenced an investigation into the disclosures of Manulife Financial Corporation (TSX: MFC; NYSE: MFC) relating to the severe risks arising from Manulife's variable annuity guarantee and segregated funds business. This announcement follows Manulife's revelation on June 19, 2009 that it had received an enforcement notice from staff of the Ontario Securities Commission relating to those disclosures. The objective of Siskinds' investigation is to determine whether a class action should be commenced against Manulife to recover losses that investors may have suffered as a result of those disclosures. Any investors who purchased securities of Manulife from January 26, 2004 to March 26, 2009 are encouraged to contact Scott Selig of Siskinds at (800) 461-6166 extension 7824, or at [ scott.selig@siskinds.com ].
