  • United Airlines is raising annual fees for its popular rewards credit cards and yearly lounge passes. The carrier is also changing some of the benefits. Airlines have been adjusting their loyalty programs to reward their biggest spenders,

United Airlines has announced an increase in annual fees for its co-branded credit cards issued by Chase, effective from June 2024. The fee for the United℠ Explorer Card will rise from $95 to $109, the United Club℠ Infinite Card will increase from $450 to $525, and the United Quest℠ Card will go from $250 to $299. These changes reflect the rising costs of providing card benefits like lounge access, travel credits, and rewards. Additionally, United is enhancing some card benefits to offset the fee hikes, such as increasing the value of travel credits and adding more perks like free checked bags and priority boarding. This adjustment aims to maintain the value proposition for cardholders while addressing the increased operational costs.
