Petrobras signs $2.8 billion deal for 12 new vessels to supply offshore platforms

This agreement, announced on December 12, 2024, aims to enhance Petrobras' logistics capabilities in the pre-salt layer of the Santos Basin, one of the world's largest deep-water oil fields. The vessels will be constructed in Brazil, supporting local industry and job creation, and are expected to start operations by 2026. This investment underscores Petrobras' commitment to expanding its offshore operations and improving efficiency in oil and gas extraction.
