PERTH, AUSTRALIA--(Marketwire - June 14, 2012) - Bannerman Resources Limited (TSX:BAN)(ASX:BMN)(NAMIBIAN:BMN) ("Bannerman" or the "Company") announces the following Board changes.

The Board has today appointed Mr Ian Burvill as a Non-Executive Director replacing Mr Mason Hills who retires due to relocation overseas.

Mr Burvill is a Senior Vice President of private equity fund manager Resource Capital Funds ("RCF") and has over 25 years of mining industry experience, starting as a mechanical engineer in the design and construction of mineral process plants. He has also worked as an Associate Director of Rothschild Australia Limited, providing project finance for mining projects. In 2001, Mr Burvill opened the Australian office of RCF and has since been involved in the provision of equity finance to numerous resources development and mining companies. In representing RCF, Mr Burvill has acted as a non-executive director of a number of mining companies including Pan Australian Resources NL (now PanAust Limited), Highlands Pacific Limited and Murchison Metals Ltd.

Mr Burvill holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) and a Master of Business Administration, both obtained from The University of Western Australia.

Bannerman Chairman Dr David Smith said: "Mr Burvill's extensive experience in the mining industry and as a director of various mining companies will complement and be of considerable value to the Bannerman Board. We look forward to his contribution particularly as we pursue discussions with potential development and finance partners for the Company's Etango Uranium Project in Namibia."

Concurrent with Mr Burvill's appointment, Mr Hills retires from the Bannerman Board following service as a Non-Executive Director since May 2011 and prior to that as an alternate director from March 2009. Mr Hills is a Partner of RCF and is relocating to Denver, Colorado (USA), to continue his role within the RCF organisation. The Board acknowledges and thanks Mr Hills for his commitment and valuable input during his tenure with Bannerman.
