Sprott Power Corp. Appoints Glen Estill and David Rounthwaite to the Board of Directors
TORONTO, March 21 /CNW/ - John Varghese, Chairman of Sprott Power Corp. ("Sprott Power" or "the Company") (TSX: SPZ), a developer, owner and operator of renewable energy projects, today announced that it has appointed Glen Estill, founder of Sky Generation Inc. ("SkyGen"), and F. David Rounthwaite, former trustee of Northland Power Income Fund, to its Board of Directors.

Mr. Estill is an experienced developer of wind construction projects, with a strong understanding of Ontario's electricity system and policy environment. He has over 25 years in management positions. Prior to founding SkyGen in 2000 Mr. Estill was the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of EMJ Data Systems, a computer distributor which he co-founded. Mr. Estill has actively collaborated with industry players to influence government policies to favour wind energy at both Federal and Provincial levels and was elected President of Canadian Wind Energy Association from 2003 to 2004.
Mr. Rounthwaite has been practicing law since 1976 with an emphasis on securities and corporate governance law. He was an associate and partner at McCarthy Tétrault LLP until 2004, where his practice involved nuclear power generation as well as all aspects of renewable energy development, financing and operation. In 2004, he became president of a specialized financial services company. He resumed practicing law in 2007. From 1997 to 2010 he was a trustee of Northland Power Income Fund and was lead independent trustee in several transactions of that fund including its acquisition of Northland Power Inc. in 2009.
