Ocean City Home Bank Ranked Eighth Best Publicly Traded Thrift in Nation for Financial Performance

(NASDAQ: OSHC) announced today that SNL Financial, a financial services firm that publishes an annual list of the 100 largest publicly traded thrifts, ranked Ocean City Home Bank eighth in the United States for the twelve-month period ending March 31, 2010. Among the largest publicly traded thrifts in the State of New Jersey, the Ocean City-based bank ranked second, behind only Hudson City Bancorp, Inc.

SNL Financial based its ranking on six financial performance factors: core return on average assets (ROAA), core return on average equity (ROAE), three-year compound annual growth rate in tangible book value per share, efficiency ratio, nonperforming assets plus loans more than 90 days past due as a percentage of total assets, and net charge-offs as a percentage of average loans.
