VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - July 8, 2010) - Tarsis Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:TCC) ("Tarsis") is pleased to provide an update on its exploration activities in the Yukon Territory, Canada.
Project Generation
During June, Tarsis' President & CEO led a six man team carrying out early stage exploration and prospecting in the Yukon. Numerous high-priority targets were visited as a result of the Company's research, using both public and proprietary information and techniques. As a result of this generative exploration, one new property has been acquired by staking and further details will be announced shortly.
Dawson Gold Properties Exploration
On three of the Company's newly acquired Dawson Gold properties (Lion, Eagle and Jaguar), prospecting, early stage exploration and stream sediment sampling has been completed. The exploration model on these properties is similar to Atac Resources' Rau project, which features high grade gold mineralization in a carbonate setting.
MOR Project Drilling
At Tarsis' MOR project, diamond drilling of 443.83 meters has been completed in two holes designed to test a strong copper geochemical soil anomaly in close proximity to both an IP and a gravity anomaly. Mineralized intervals from the drill core have been split and submitted for assay and results will be announced once available.
Previous exploration at MOR has discovered accumulations of massive and semi-massive sulphide mineralization in several stacked horizons within the Discovery Zone. Full details of prior exploration results are listed on the Tarsis website ([ http://www.tarsis.ca/mor.html ]).
