DENVER--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--XeDAR Corporation, (OTCBB: XDRC), provides homeland security and defense consulting and IT management and security services to the Departments of Homeland Security, Defense and others; national intelligence agencies; and the U.S. Military. XeDAR also provides consulting services to individual corporations (both foreign and domestic) who seek to develop business in the U.S. Defense and Homeland Security marketplace. XeDAR announced today that its subsidiary, Atlantic Systems of Arlington, VA, received a major contract with the Aerospace, Defense and Homeland (Civil) Security Company, Saab AB (publ), which is headquartered in Sweden. The five-year contract stipulates that Atlantic Systems work closely with Saab to help it develop its business within the U.S. Homeland (Civil) Security market, a market which also includes federal, state and local clients. As a multi-billion dollar company, Saab is a world leader in providing products, services and solutions for building a safer society. Their footprint is spread around the world with operations in numerous countries including the U.S., Africa, Europe, Australia and Asia.

The contract is for $576,000 per year, but includes provisions for up to an additional 3% of whatever new business Atlantic Systems attracts during that time.

Alan Swain, Atlantic Systems' Lead for the Saab work says that, "this work is very similar to the work we did for another international client a number of years ago where we helped them grow their U.S. business from virtually $0 to over $80M in four years. Saab is much better positioned as it has already established itself in the U.S. Defense Industry and is well poised to gain a substantial share of the U.S. Homeland (Civil) Security market. Saab's services and products are recognized around the world as being of the highest quality and the most technically advanced of any company in Homeland (Civil) Security business. Saab's integrated system of airport security used at Arlanda International Airport in Stockholm is one the best systems of any major airport around the globe and their products and services in the port security arena stand out as the best in the world."

Swain added that Atlantic Systems has already helped Saab in the pursuit of a number of major contracts here in the U.S. Homeland (Civil) Security market. "We fully believe Saab's Homeland Security business in the U.S. could grow substantially within the next five years." Swain went on to say, "And the best part is that adding Saab's tremendous capabilities to the U.S. Homeland Security arena will significantly help make the U.S. a safer place."
