Chhattisgarh's Finance Minister O.P. Choudhary has announced an ambitious plan to double the state's GDP from Rs 5 lakh crore to Rs 10 lakh crore within the next five years. This goal was shared during a press conference where he also highlighted the state's economic performance, noting that Chhattisgarh's GDP grew by 11.5% in the fiscal year 2022-23, surpassing the national average. The strategy to achieve this growth includes focusing on infrastructure development, enhancing the ease of doing business, and promoting sectors like agriculture, industry, and services. Choudhary emphasized the importance of attracting investments and fostering an environment conducive to economic expansion, aiming to make Chhattisgarh a significant contributor to India's economic growth.
