The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved the acquisition of a 49% stake in Fourth Partner Energy Private Limited by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the Asian Development Bank (ADB), and the Dutch Entrepreneurial Development Bank (FMO). Fourth Partner Energy, established in 2010, focuses on developing, constructing, owning, and operating solar power projects across India, with a portfolio of over 1.35 gigawatts peak (GWp) capacity. The acquisition aims to support the expansion of renewable energy infrastructure in India, aligning with global efforts to combat climate change by promoting sustainable energy solutions.
