NEW YORK, Nov. 1, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Harwood Feffer LLP ([ www.hfesq.com ]) is investigating potential claims against the board of directors of Schiff Nutrition International, Inc. ("Schiff" or the "Company") (NYSE: [ SHF ]) concerning the proposed acquisition of the Company by Bayer AG ("Bayer") in a transaction valued at approximately $1.2 billion.

On October 30, 2012, it was announced that Schiff and Bayer have entered into a definitive agreement pursuant to which Bayer will acquire Schiff.  Under the terms of the transaction, Schiff shareholders will receive $34.00 in cash.
