INGENICO :TaylorMade Golf, First Major Retail Customer to Integrate New SDK of ROAM™, an Ingenico Company

NEUILLY-SUR-SEINE, FRANCE--(Marketwire - Nov 6, 2012) - TaylorMade Golf, First Major Retail Customer to Integrate New SDK of ROAM™, an Ingenico Company

Paris and Boston, November 6, 2012 -- Ingenico (Euronext : FR0000125346 - ING), leading worldwide provider of payment solutions, today announces that ROAM, the leading mobile commerce platform provider, named TaylorMade- Adidas Golf Company as first retail customer to integrate ROAM's software developer's kit (SDK) in its TaylorMade Performance Labs (TMPL).

TMPL, with custom fitter locations, will use the ROAMpay API of the SDK in their in-store application to help customers get the best size and fit golf clubs.

ROAM's SDK, receiving great interest since its introduction on July 30, 2012, greatly simplifies the integration of card-present mobile payments into applications for iPhones ®, iPads ® and Android devices. As a result, TaylorMade and many third-party developers of mobile applications can now readily leverage ROAM's market-leading mobile commerce technology platform to build secure mobile point of sale applications.

ROAM's developer kit features "user management tools" that support mobile point of sale-based apps development for a range of applications including invoicing, accounting, and retail point-of-sale. The tool kit, which includes reader and payment APIs, ensures that developers comply with Payment Card Industry (PCI) data security standards. ROAM's platform encrypts sensitive card information via hardware at the point-of-swipe. As a result, card data never go beyond the retailer and payment card processor.

"We are thrilled to integrate ROAM's easy-to-use SDK, particularly ROAMpay into our TMPL centers across the country. ROAMpay helps TMPL to create the best possible customer experience and peak performance," said Todd Fraser, Global Director of Business Development for TaylorMade.

"We are delighted to name TaylorMade as our first major retail customer using the SDK and look forward to hearing more about how we can help TaylorMade," said Ken Paul, CEO of ROAM. "The overwhelming retail reaction to our new SDK can be attributed to our encrypted mobile reader technology and network being second to none. We believe that combining these assets with ROAM's new SDK provides the essential tools and support to help TaylorMade build that next market-changing mobile point of sale app for iPhone and Android smartphone and tablet devices."

ROAM's developer kit includes:

  • ROAMpay G3X card readers.
  • ROAMreader API for card reader integration.
  • ROAMpay API for integration of payments functionality into applications.
  • ROAMboarding API for new merchant boarding.
  • Test Account to develop and test applications.
  • Documentation and samples for iOS and Android.
  • Developer support resources, including phone and e-mail support.
