BURNABY, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - June 21, 2012) - On Saturday, June 23^rd, the Burnaby Girls Sparks will celebrate with their community after being recently named this year's 8^th BMO Team of the Week, a title that puts them in the running to be named the 2012 BMO Team of the Week Champion.

As part of the prize, BMO will be making a $500 donation to the team's charity of choice; The Sparks have selected KidSport Burnaby, an organization which works to provide young people in Burnaby a chance to experience the countless benefits that participation in organized sports promotes.

BMO Team of the Week is Canada's premier sport celebration at the grassroots level, engaging a nation and inspiring communities by recognizing youth soccer teams who demonstrate team pride, team spirit, community commitment and passion for the game.
