- BMO employees will be using the Trading Floor at First Canadian Place to clean children's soccer cleats for the upcoming soccer season - 6,500 BMO employees will take part in the bank's first North America-wide volunteer day - 400 projects across Canada and the U.S.
TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - June 5, 2012) - On Thursday, June 7th, BMO employees at First Canadian Place, as well as a player from Toronto FC, will sort, clean and package gently used kids' soccer cleats and shin pads collected during a donation drive in May. The packages will then be distributed to children within the community for the upcoming soccer season.
The event is part of the first North America-wide BMO Volunteer Day, with 6,500 employees across Canada and the U.S. rolling up their sleeves to give back.
"For the past month, BMO employees have been collecting soccer cleats and shin pads in preparation for this event," said Eric Tripp, President, BMO Capital Markets.
