SAN FRANCISCO--([ ])--The Board of Directors of The Charles Schwab Corporation has declared a semi-annual dividend on the outstanding Fixed-to-Floating Rate Non-Cumulative Perpetual Preferred Stock, Series A in the amount of $36.17 per share, which covers the period runningfromJanuary 26 through July 31, 2012. The dividend is payable August 1, 2012, to stockholders of record at the close of business on July 17, 2012.
