NEWARK, Del.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--[ Artesian Resources ](NASDAQ: ARTNA), a leading provider of water, wastewater and engineering services on the Delmarva Peninsula, has announced the promotion of Pierre A. Anderson to Vice President of Information Technologies.
Anderson, who joined the company in 2006, is responsible for all Information Technology functions; including technology procurement, software development, systems and database administration, telecommunications and infrastructure. He also provides supervision of all IT staff; directs the IT strategic long-term goals, policies and procedures of the corporation; determines the organizationas long-term systems needs; and oversees enhancements, acquisitions and organizational changes necessary to accomplish Artesianas corporate objectives. In addition, Anderson oversees the security, data integrity and recovery of the Companyas Intellectual Property, core systems processing and record keeping.
Anderson previously served as Director of Information Technologies at Artesian. He came to the company after his tenure as Manager of Project & Support Services for Christina School District, the largest school district in Delaware. His prior experience also includes a variety of roles within the Technology Planning, Telecommunications, Software Development, and Technology Management Development departments of the technology division of MBNA America (now part of Bank of America).
Anderson holds an MBA and a Master of Science degree in Information Systems and Technology Management from the University of Delaware and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Delaware State University.
