SunTrust Shareholders Elect Technology Industry Veteran Donna Morea to Company's Board of Directors
ATLANTA, April 25, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- SunTrust Banks, Inc. (NYSE: [ STI ]) Chairman and Chief Executive Officer William H. Rogers, Jr. announced that Donna Morea has been elected to SunTrust's Board of Directors.
Ms. Morea was elected to the Company's Board for the first time. The Company's remaining 13 directors, including Mr. Rogers, were re-elected by shareholders. As previously announced, J. Hicks Lanier and Dr. Frank S. Royal did not stand for reelection and retired from the Board following the annual meeting of SunTrust shareholders yesterday.

Ms. Morea is a nationally recognized executive in IT professional service management. From 2004 until her retirement at the end of 2011, she served as President of CGI Technology and Solutions, Inc., a wholly-owned U.S. subsidiary of CGI Group, one of the largest independent information technology firms in North America. She now serves on CGI Group's board of directors.
