LONDON--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Citi (NYSE:C) has appointed Ruud Hendriks as a senior advisor for its markets businesses in the Netherlands, a role designed to facilitate deeper relations with Dutch investors across a wide range of asset classes.

Hendriks will work closely with Citias Equity and Private Investor Solutions Group, which provides risk management and investment solutions to a broad range of investors. Equity and Private Investor Solutions is led in the EMEA region by Carolina Minio-Paluello, while Stephen Birkwood within that group is responsible for the Netherlands.

Hendriks was previously co-head of sales for Europe (excluding Germany and Austria), Middle East and Africa for Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM), departing in 2009. Prior to that, he was global head of institutional sales at Robeco, the Dutch asset manager.

The appointment represents another step in the expansion of Citi's investor solutions business and underlines its commitment to clients in the Netherlands.
