SAN FRANCISCO--([ ])--First Republic Bank (NYSE:FRC) has announced that it has declared an initial quarterly cash dividend of $12.2833 per share on its Noncumulative Perpetual Series A Preferred Stock. This initial dividend equals $0.30708 per depositary share, each representing 1/40th interest in a share of Series A Preferred Stock, which is traded on the NYSE under the symbol aFRCPrA.a

The Series A Preferred Stock dividend is payable on March 30, 2012, to shareholders of record as of March 15, 2012.
