PHILADELPHIA, Jan. 26, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Atlas Energy, L.P. (NYSE: [ ATLS ]) announces today that it has declared a quarterly distribution for the fourth quarter 2011 of $0.24 per common unit.  The fourth quarter distribution of $0.24 per common unit represents a $0.17 increase over the fourth quarter 2010 distribution of $0.07, and reflects a distribution coverage ratio of approximately 1.6x.  The distribution is payable Friday, February 17, 2012 to holders of record as of Tuesday, February 7, 2012.
