Dayton Power & Light Customers Can Save up to 27% With FirstEnergy Solutions' New Lower Electric Generation Price
AKRON, Ohio, Sept. 23, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Residential customers of Dayton Power& Light can save up to 27% off their utility's current average generation rate by selecting FirstEnergy Solutions as their electric generation supplier. Residents have until November 1, 2011, to enroll and obtain FirstEnergy Solutions' new lower price of 7.19 cents per kilowatt-hour (kWh) on electric generation through December 2013.
Customers can determine how much they can save each month through this program by comparing 7.19 cents per kWh to their Price to Compare, which is located in the message section of their monthly electric bill. The Price to Compare is the amount customers are charged when they purchase electric generation from Dayton Power& Light.
"Shopping for a competitive electric supplier is one of the fastest and easiest ways to save money," said Julie Hextell, senior vice president of Retail Sales and Marketing for FirstEnergy Solutions. "And with this new low price, customers could see significant savings – up to $529 over the term of the contract."
Residents who choose FirstEnergy Solutions as their electric generation supplier will continue to receive one bill and the same distribution service from their local electric company. The utility will continue to deliver the electricity, maintain the poles and wires, and respond to power outages.
