Chemtura to Increase Price of Royaltuf Polymer Modifiers

PHILADELPHIA--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Chemtura Corporation (NYSE: CHMT) announced that it is raising the price of the Royaltuf Polymer Modifier products supplied by the Polymer Antioxidants and UV stabilizer business.

Effective April 4, 2011, or as contract terms allow, Chemtura has increased the prices of its Royaltuf polymer modifiers by 25 percent. This increase is an addition to earlier price announcements.

This increase is necessary due to the continued escalation in the cost of key raw materials used in the manufacture the Royaltuf products. As we have witnessed in the early part of the first quarter of 2011, raw materials continue to be very tight in the market, which has led to much higher costs. Furthermore, manufacturing and transportation cost have increased mainly due to a significant increase in energy cost.
