TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - April 8, 2011) - Dundee Capital Markets Inc. (TSX:DCM) ("DCM" or the "Company") and its Board of Directors (the "Board") are pleased to announce the appointment of A. Murray Sinclair and Jeremy Soames to its Board.

A. Murray Sinclair is currently a director and Chairman of Sprott Resource Lending Corp., a company that specializes in bridge and mezzanine lending to precious and base metal mining, energy, exploration and development companies on a global basis and is listed on the TSX and NYSE Amex. Mr. Sinclair has extensive knowledge in areas of asset backed lending, real estate, corporate restructuring and natural resources. He is also a director and officer of several other public companies. Mr. Sinclair received his Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen's University.

Jeremy Soames has over 30 years' experience in financial markets, with an emphasis over the last 20 years in international fund and wealth management. For over 20 years, until 1999, Mr. Soames was with the N M Rothschild Group, working in the Group's operations in London, New York and Hong Kong. Mr. Soames is Chairman of Barbican Managing Agency Limited, the Lloyd's and FSA regulated agency which manages the Lloyd's Insurance Syndicate 1955, and a non-executive Director of Instinet Europe Limited. He is also a Trustee of the Winston Churchill Memorial Fund.
