Morgan Stanley Announces Portfolio Manager Change for The Latin American Discovery Fund, Inc.
NEW YORK--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Morgan Stanley Investment Management, Inc. (aMSIMa) today announced that Gaite Ali is now named as a member of the Funda™s portfolio management team of the Latin American Discovery Fund, Inc. (NYSE:LDF) (the aFunda).
Ms. Ali is an Executive Director of MSIM, having joined the Emerging Markets Equity team in September 2007. Ms. Ali has 16 years of investment industry experience. Prior to September 2007, Ms. Ali was with Alliance Bernstein from March 1997 until February 2006.
Ms. Ali, along with Ana Cristina Piedrahita, is a member of the Latin American Equity team, which is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Funda™s portfolio. Ms.Piedrahita is an Executive Director of Morgan Stanley Investment Management Limited (the aSub-Advisera) and has been associated with the Sub-Adviser in an investment management capacity since 2002, and began managing the Fund in February2002.
